My plan was to sketch people, but were there in a lull between customers- so I sketched my plate instead. Then people started arriving again. This was the Hudson Hash, made with polenta, smoked salmon, scallions and feta. R helped with the english muffins!
Breakfast at Pt. Hudson! It makes my mouth water. Is this digital? I haven't had a lot of success with sketches of people in public places, unless they were at a lecture, holding still for a long time. I'm just not that good at catching folks on the fly. But plates of food; they are very cooperative.
ReplyDeleteHi Elsbeth. I sketched it there, photographed it at home, loaded the image, and tinted it with Photoshop "brushes." The nice waitress did try to take my plate, but I said noooo- I have to sketch something! She said something polite and carefully backed away... Fortunately she wasn't too afraid because she brought us more coffee.
